planting more trees...and Mommy's Day!

So we planted 3 little Quaking Aspens in the back yard last week. The boys planted an "arizona fir" tree out front for me for Mother's day!! It's fabulous!! So that brings our total new tree count to 6 trees. Our neighbors across the street have questioned as whether we are starting a tree farm, and now have officially diagnosed us "tree crazy" .... which is a new phrase that the boys think is silly, and they repeat it frequently & often within earshot of our neighbor...Mr. Sigfried. "Mr. Sigfried says our Colby family is tree-crazy?"
On another note....our strawberries are doing awesome, as are our many potted plants and flower seeds! Luke's tree has also blossomed and is completely BEAUTIFUL again this year! We leave you with several pictures of our garden....you'll be proud to see that our little thumbs are getting greener!!

the most unique of our new trees - the "weeping pussy willow"

and the beautiful - "weeping cherry"

What beautiful trees, and what a great gift. Gifts like that are so great because they always stay around and aren't consumed and gone... and every time you see them you remember.. Your blossoms are beautiful too! We had snow yesterday and it will continue this week... Someday we'll have blossoms...at least I hope!
